“ so that you may become blameless and pure,
children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation,
in which you shine like stars in the universe.”

                                                                                Phil 2:15

Throughout the Bible, through scores of different messengers, God sent His children the message that He intended for them to be 'stars' lighting the world and overcoming the darkness which is all too prevalent in us and our world.

God also makes it clear in the Bible that there are five functions which must be in place for individual believers and churches to become stars.  Only then could they fulfill their created destinies and reflect His glory for all to see.

Those functions are: Worship, Bible Study, Evangelism, Fellowship, and Service. When all five are a part of our everyday life, God illumines us, His star, from the inside out.  Only then can we experience and demonstrate God’s delight and abundance. This is the kind of life Jesus demonstrated and called everyone to receive. This is the experience of the Kingdom of God on earth, as it is in heaven.

At Mountaintop it has become clear to us that God not only teaches us what to reach for, He has also developed a process which, if followed, will carry a believer and a church to ever expanding and fulfilling maturity. The star-making process will take a person wherever he/she might be and move them into the radiance of God’s glory, which, in the final analysis, is what real discipleship looks like.
